Never forget

"She called me right before they were getting ready to attack the cockpit. We talked, we prayed, and then we disconnected. I kept telling myself she's smart and feisty, she used to be a police officer. She'll get out of there."

- Lorne Lyles, husband of flight attendant Cee Cee Lyles

Everything I have read today regarding 9/11 has touched me, but that struck me the hardest; it tore at my heart.

11 years ago today, our great nation was brought together by a tragic event; our neighbors near and far became our family; we stood united. Let us never forget what happened this day many years ago. Let us remember to stay strong and stand up as one. Let us stand up for each other and lend a hand to those in need. Never forget the great sacrifice of all those service men and women, and men and women like me and you, that lost their lives that day. I hope that you can take a moment out of your day to pray for those who have passed, those who have been scared, and their families. You will forever be in our hearts; may you rest in peace.
