The most horribly amazing, wonderfully fantastic, crazy, wonderfully unforgettable 365 days of my life with some Monterey!

{sorry, this is way late, it was meant for June 24th but we've been real busy the past week or so.}

{whew, that was a mouth full}. Yep, it’s been a whole year {June 24th} since Devin and I were sealed for time and eternity in the beautiful Sacramento Temple. It’s crazy to think that a year has already come and gone; it went by so fast! {Just a heads up, this may end up being a long post…sorry}. Any who, we did it, we survived our first year of marriage without killing each other ha-ha {trust me there were times, like in every marriage, where you reach that point}. I wouldn’t change a single thing that has happened, all the tears of joy and sorrow, all the laughter and goofiness, the times of strength and of struggle, and the times of pure joy and happiness; it was all worth it, every moment has only brought us closer and strengthened our love for one another. Devin is the most amazing husband I could ever ask for. He tries very hard to make it so that the second I look into his eyes, all the sadness, anger, fear or whatever bad feeling I have, is gone {he makes it VERY hard for me to stay mad at him; even when I want to punch him in the face, all he has to do is give me that look and a smile involuntarily makes its way across my face, I HATE it!}. I wouldn’t change a thing about him, except maybe the fact that he sometimes talks in his sleep. I love him so much it almost makes me cry when I think deeply about it {yes I have turned into the biggest cry baby ever in the last few years}. I can’t wait for what adventures come our way next and I am so blessed to have such an amazing man to walk by my side the whole step of the way.

So this weekend, to celebrate, we went to Monterey!

Since it was a last minute trip, we ended up staying in a cheap {for Monterey} hotel. I was an ok clean place but the bed was horrible!! It was just springs and a sheet; it honestly would've been better for us to sleep on the floor! Oh and I can't forget to mention that just barely behind us across the street was the Blues festival....it went on until 12 at night and started bright and early the next morning {our walls were paper thin and it sounded as if the concert was in the middle of our room}. But other than that, the place wasn't that bad ha ha it was nice for a cheap last minute place and it was close to everything.

So we got there Saturday and we went to the wharf and saw some seals and some really big pelicans! I never knew that the wharf in Monterey was so small! Not much to do there, so we went to Cannery Row and walked around while we waited for our table at Bubba Gumps :) yum!! We got a table right by the window so we were able to look out at the ocean. For about 10 minutes, there was a Sea Otter just outside the dock swimming around in circles spinning himself around while trying to eat something and then when he was done he kept smacking his lips and rubbing his belly; it was the cutest/funniest thing I ever saw! Sea Otters are the best!! After dinner, we went and visited with the Johnson's {they are a blast} and they know the best YouTube videos ever!!

On Sunday, we went to the aquarium for a little while. While we were walking there a lady stopped us and gave us some free stickers and just as we were about to walk away she stopped me and told me I looked very spiritual and gave me a yoga book with a bunch of different philosophies, oh and she told us Devin was too sexy for a shirt and gave him a FEDSEX sticker ha ha! Any who, my favorite part was the Sea Otters and the Sea Turtles :). We went to Johnny Rockets for lunch and it was yucky...at least my burger was gross, and the service was super slow! We headed home after that and had a great night :) needless to say we had a very nice anniversary weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better partner to share it with! Thanks babe for a great weekend!

"everyone gets a happy face ketchup at Johnny Rockets!"

 oh and a side note, i really hate trying to put pics on my posts...it never works right...
