Adveture Time in San Francisco!

...with Mom, Dad, Rebecca, Carl, Carson, Gavin, Ashton, Chris, Jody, Dallin, Luke, Tommy, Ella, Rachel, Bryan, Haylee, Zander, Jen, Jaynann, Travis, Zack, Alyssa, Tenley, Laylah, Me, and Devin....Yup all 26 of us!

Over Memorial Day weekend we went on the Wilhelm Family Vacation to San Francisco! We got there Friday night I roomed with Dallin and Carson (they are 12 now and think that they are 17 and the coolest kids ever! (they are DORKS)). We had fun with our roomies though!

 Saturday morning we went to Alcatraz, it was really interesting, I loved it. I want to go back and see more though and do the night tour! (oooo scary) After that we went to the Aquarium, it was pretty neat as well. My favorite was the Jelly Fish, partially because my mom loves them too :)

Devin had to work until 1:30 on Saturday, so by the time we were done on the pier, Devin was about 15 (turned into 30) mins away so I stayed at the pier to wait for him while my family continued on to Ghirardelli Square. After Devin got there we walked the mile to Ghirardelli Square and it turns out that my family had ended up going to the Union Square Mall instead...so yup, we walked to 2 ish miles to the mall; but walking up and down hills in San Fran and walking through China Town makes it feel more like 4 miles :o (mind you, I did this in my Vans, needless to say my legs were killing me the rest of the weekend). But the cable car ride and Bubba Gumps for dinner definitely made up for the long walk! Sadly, my mom ended up getting sick and her and my dad headed home Sunday morning (she is doing better btw).

Sunday we all went to the Exploratorium. It was really fun and everyone LOVED it! Afterwards, we all went to the beach in Pacifica. It was cold for about 5 mins until the sun came out to play! The water was FREEZING but that didn't stop all the crazy kids! They all had plenty of fun running away from the waves (some of the boys "failed" and went head first into the water). We all had a blast burring some kids, looking for shells, digging holes, building sand castles, playing in the water, and just being together as a family. Oh and fyi, there was a nice chunk of whale or seal blubber washed up on the beach. For dinner we all went to BJ's, and I do NOT recommend going to the one we went to, the service was HORRIBLE! First, they forgot to bring mine and Devins salads out until 10 mins after our main course came out, then there was a hair in my salad, they did take off Devins salad (mine came with my meal) and gave us a free dessert but when the check came, they charged us for 3 sodas..no tip for you mr. waiter guy!! Chris' family was the second family to sit down and they were the last to get their food, they waited 20-30 mins after their salad before their food came out and poor hungry Ella didn't get her food until 10 mins after her family all got there food, it was about 9:15 by that time...no tip for you either ms. waiter lady!! That night I also went to my first TWO-STORY TARGET!!!!

Monday was our last day, Devin and I ended up leaving first thing in the morning, but the rest of the families went to the California Academy of Sciences. It was a yet again another long, crazy, fun filled Wilhelm Family Vacation!! I think next year I'm going to make shirts for everyone to wear :)
